In September 2022, a young Kurdish woman died after being beaten by police officers who arrested her for not adhering to the Islamic Republic’s dress code. Her death galvanized thousands of Iranians. For The Sun After Long Nights is a moving exploration of the protests as told through the interwoven story of two Iranian journalists.

Two sessions are available:
7-9 pm $60
9-12 pm $75

Each session includes unique bar drinks, snacks and a chance to enter a raffle.

Mapso Family Follies Auditions

Grab a friend, neighbor, or family member and invent a comedy bit, a dance routine, or an acoustic song. Or you could sing opera, yodel, or do bird calls; step dance, clogging, tap, or ballet; recite original poetry; perform drag; do magic, juggle, or ventriloquism; act out a dramatic skit or a short scene from your favorite tv show.

There are only 3 rules: 3 minutes per act, no drum kits/amps, and no solos. You’re all invited to try out, open to Maplewood/South Orange and surrounding communities, ages 9 to 99. The FOLLIES motto: “Have fun!”

The inaugural fundraiser supporting the Columbia High School Ultimate Frisbee program!

This 21+ event will be hosted by SOMA’s own Abby Sher and features sets by Andrea Glaser, Suzanne Stein, and headliner Laz Vic. The event will also include an optional costume contest before the comedians take the stage, a tricky tray with an array of prizes, and adult beverages from SOMA’s own Pallet Brewery.
