Inspired by the work of the late artist and curator David Driskell, this illuminating documentary spotlights the indelible contributions of some of the foremost African American artists in today's contemporary art world.
Join the largest display of MLK Day luminaries in SOMA.
Every luminary will be weighted by canned food to be donated to a local food pantry after the event. Bring your cans of food down to the Skate House (5 Mead St) starting at 2pm on 1/15, then stay for a ceremonial lighting at 5pm with local officials and wander the park to experience the installation.
